Barefoot Cherokee treeless saddle

The most popular saddle in the Barefoot range. The Cherokee is a Treeless all-purpose saddle made of thick, pliable Nubuck leather with soft, off-white fleece underside. It is an anatomically shaped treeless saddle that provides excellent wither clearance. Seven D-rings and leather straps in front and back provide many possibilities to attach saddlebags etc. This saddle model is delivered with a pair of adjustable kneerolls, which can be positioned according to the rider´s preference.
Each Barefoot saddle now has a thick, moulded, pressure-absorbing panel on either side of the horse´s spine. These panels create a gullet to guarantee improved spinal clearance. The panels are also anatomically shaped to the rider´s thighs to reduce bulk and for a bit of twist. As with all Barefoot saddles the pommel, which determines the gullet width is exchangeable for our extra wide, extra narrow or the new soft pommel insert for extremely wide and /or sensitive horses. The Cherokee saddle has a higher cantle made of a semi-elastic material, which is anatomically shaped to horse and rider. For the rider this newly designed cantle provides a deep, softly cushioned and very secure seat. Like all other Barefoot models the Cherokee enhances the horse´s freedom of motion and encourages engagement of the hindquarters and vertical flexion of the back.
The seat is removable and attaches to the saddle base with wide, non-slip Velcro. The beautiful Cherokee can be mounted with Barefoot fenders or English style stirrup leathers.
