The 'London' is as versatile as our Barefoot Cheyenne saddle and will fit 99% of horses over 13.hh. This saddle will support a correct Dressage position and being an English style saddle it is approved for EFA dressage competitions in Australia.

The saddle comes in three sizes and the extra wide and soft pommel inserts of the Cheyenne and Cherokee will also fit this saddle. The London has adjustable kneerolls and comes standard with two sets of Velcro blocks so that you can adjust the saddle according to your preference. This Dressage saddle provides a very nice deep and centered seat and the London does have a slight 'twist' meaning you do not sit as wide as in many other treeless models. The cantle inserts of the London is made of a semi flexible foam/rubber to take care of the sensitive lumbar region of your horse. You will need one of our therapeutic saddle pads as you do with all our Barefoot models. The saddle pads to suit the London are the London Grandeur pad or for heavier riders or atrophied / narrow / high withered horses the London Pysiopad is available.

This saddle is the solution for anyone who is looking for a good looking and well made Dressage saddle that is still affordable and that will fit all the horses on your paddock. The unbeatable comfort of all other Barefoot models for horses and riders also applies to the London.

We have been waiting in suspense for this model and believe that it will help many dressage and pleasure horses in the country currently suffering from saddle pain. From experience I can say that a treeless saddle is a dream come true for any Dressage rider, the aids get finer, the connection with the horse so very subtle and your horse will move forward much freer and with more lightness. Laterals and coming on the bit also becomes easier for the horse because it has the space to move the spine laterally and vertically without restriction.

You can expect that your horse will build or rebuild topline fast in the London provided you know how to exercise your horse correctly. Please also be ready for a horse that now gives you extensions as well as collection with more enthusiasm. Formerly lazy and short stepping horses will be easier to ride with more impulsion and improved stridelength.

The 'London' aims to improve the level of fun and ease for both you and your horse in the arena. This saddle was designed with the goal of 'the happy athlete' in mind, by a dressage riding equine physiotherapist.

We are very excited to finally offer the London to Australian riders, it may just be time for you now to take the plunge and go treeless. Tow years later the London has been thoroughly embraced by Australian Dressage riders of all levels from novices to Grand prix riders. The London is Natalie's favorite Barefoot saddle. The London is suitable for Dressage, showing and hacking and many riders are competing rather successfully in this great little saddle.

Due to the soft structure of the London we do not recommend it for endurance. Please look at the Cheyenne or Cherokee if you are looking for a saddle for long distance riding.

For dressage competitions we recommend you use one of your square white saddlecloth on top of your therapeutic saddle pad. We have Grandeur pads shaped to the London in black, wine red and royal blue and we also have black Physiopads available for the London for horses with higher withers, atrophied backs. Both types of pads were designed by Barefoot Germany to fit the London perfectly. The saddlepads attach to the saddle in 4 places so the fit is very tidy and snug.
