Like our other models, the Missoula has a soft but high foam cantle, 5 D-rings, and all the other advantages of a good treeless saddle: horses will move and turn better due to the complete freedom of movement; no pressure points, better communication by feel, better muscle development possible, less back pain for horse and rider.
The Missoula is available in two sizes:
- Size 1 is comparable to 15″ Western saddles or 16.5″-17.5” English saddle. Length 24”/59 cm, actual seat length is around 14”/35cm. Fits riders wearing jeans sizes up to 12 ladies or 32 for men
- Size 2 is comparable to a 17″ Western saddle or 17.5″-18.5” English saddles. Length 26”/65cm, actual seat length is around 15.5”/40 cm English saddle. Fits riders wearing jeans sized 12-14 and up for ladies, size 33 and up for men
It weighs only about 9kg, and is delivered with fenders, but without stirrups.
The Missoula should convince even the most doubtful western horseman to finally give treeless a try — for the sake of the horse!

NEW Barefoot Arizona Nut western saddle
This saddle is a Hybrid between the Missoula (above) and the Arizona (below) and we currently have it in stock in both adult sizes.
Horsefriendly gorgeous westernsaddle made from Brazilian calfskin leather, crafted and tooled by hand in small basket design. The very deep seat provides security and a good contact.
The saddle comes standard with matching fenders and with leather covered tooled stirrups included in the price.
Very adjustable and flexible on the horse, comfortable for the rider. Short round skirts to accommodate short backs, suitable for most conformations of horses.
Technical data:
6 d-rings, conchas with leather strings, Western Rigging including Tie Strap and Off Billet (Nylon). The fork size wide – made from lightweight fiberglass – can be exchanged as with all Barefoot saddles.

Barefoot Arizona Saddle
'The Arizona'
Fully adjustable western saddle with horn and a high cantle for security, available with additional front arch for extra wide horses. A comfortable treeless western saddle at an affordable price.
This beautiful treeless western saddle is made of thick, soft nubuck leather with natural-colour kodel fleece underside. The Arizona saddle is mounted with western fenders and wide leather-covered oxbow stirrups. The fenders will fit riders 5.1" to 6.2" and give you more room to move than traditional western fenders. This saddle is therefore easier on the rider's knees because it does not lock you into a certain position while still giving plenty of stability.
This saddle is suitable for western pleasure riding and can be used for competition.

Please note:
The horn of the Arizona saddle is meant for decoration only. Please do not hang on to the horn while mounting. Do not apply any intense force to the horn, ie do not tie an animal or other heavy object to the horn. You may use the horn to stabilize yourself once in the saddle.

The Barefoot Atlanta combines the most popular features of Barefoot Arizona and Barefoot Cherokee saddles.
The Atlanta offers the same beautiful styling as the Cherokee - the unique horsehead applique & 7 d-rings for all your trail riding needs - in a compact, round-skirt western saddle. The Atlanta has english rigging for a very secure fit on your horse, and can be fitted with either Barefoot's western fenders or english leathers. For the rider who craves close contact, this is truly an amazing saddle!
This model has been popular amongst trail, endurance and pleasure riders, most people prefer the slim fenders over english leather with this model. The Atlanta provides great leg contact due to the shorther skirt.
